I know that I should have read this during October, but that month was a-whole-thing. So, I ended up reading it now, which worked out for me because the book takes place during the winter and Holiday celebrations. I loved EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK! Okay? Everything! From the writing to the setting, ambiance, characters, and romance!
In this world, the witches are persecuted by the church (chasseurs), and Lou, our main character is forced to marry one of the church's best chasseur.
I just feel so good about reading, like fulfilled. Mostly, because this ticked off all of my boxes.

I enjoyed how the author created these relationships between all the characters so organically and how the story developed the same way. I don't know what else to say, it's a genuinely fun read, and I can wait to read the sequel, although I hope the next centers more on Coco. She's a great character with really interesting magic and I can't wait to know more about her story.
