I decade in my life.

As I begin a new year and a new stage in my life, I reflected upon the past 10 years and all of what I've accomplished.

I enter university in '09 with a really innocent but eager to learn mind. I began studying Modern Languages with the goal of ending in the Law career. While learning and taking different courses, I got to re- discover my love for literature and writing. As I broadened my learning scope, I also expanded my view of the world by traveling; I went to New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and South Korea.

By the time I was done with my bachelor's degree I knew I had changed, I wanted to be a writer and to see the word. Thus, I decided to do my master's in Creative Literature. For three years I learned how to craft everything from flash fiction to novels, I learned how to appreciate every piece of writing as a work of art by being an analytic critic, and I wrote my first book. This last one was my biggest achievement yet, and while it's not published, I still have to recognize what it means to me that I wrote it.

Finally, I graduated last summer. I finished my schooling career, and now I'm onto bigger things which I've yet to discover... I've been through so much, from familial changes to depression, but I've overcome every single thing and I'll keep doing that. I hope this next decade holds wonderful things for everyone.
